"Amy?" Mrs. Williams said, blinking into the night. Amy had been hammering on the door, it was after dark, and her hair and clothes were distinctly disheveled. "Dear, are you alright?"

"Oi, twerp." An angry male voice said. Amy froze and looked around. She'd just trodden on something that had been concealed in the grass by the bike racks.
